Chaplain W. L. Walker, a former accountant, left the business world to become a full-time teacher and a school administrator. During his tenure as a math instructor, he was selected as “Math Teacher of the Year” in the fourth largest district in the country. He has worked with students across the country and has inspired them to excel academically. Mr. Walker and his team have conducted numerous workshops on his motivational math techniques along with performing many math derbies. Mr. Math, as he is most affectionately called, would love to conduct a nationwide mental math bee one day, like the nationwide spelling bee.
During his last stint as a principal in West Palm Beach, Florida, he studied to become a fully pledged chaplain. He presently volunteers his services at local medical facilities as a chaplain.
